Biomedical Engineering has become an inevitable science for almost all clinical fields, with broad applications from diagnostic tools to therapeutic devices, surgical instruments, passive and active implants.
In our program physicians, natural scientists and engineers address this broad field of applications and meet in seminars to discuss the joint approaches and different aspects of this interdisciplinary work. Focus is laid on newest research aspects, safe clinical application and the pathway from invention to use.
The study of Biomedical Engineering shall make the participants particularly familiar with the interfaces between engineering and medicine. Depending on their scientific background the different approach and scientific style of the other disciplines shall be integrated into the personal work-style. Based on their personal scientific background, the graduates of this study shall be able to define, implement and coordinate interdisciplinary biomedical projects.
